BL0KS

I always wanted to make a game that could be played by others after being deployed. I tried doing this earlier when I didn't have as much experience and knowledge in programming, but I never gave up. Eventually, after following this tutorial series by Brackeys, I managed to make a simple game using C# and Unity. Making a game without a game engine from scratch is a faraway project that I intend on doing someday.

The concept of this 3D game (click here) is that the player controls a cube, and has to dodge many cuboids to reach the end goal. It's a pretty simple arcade game, but what I found unique is that I only needed to use blocks within Unity. No other shapes or other mobs, hence the name BL0KS. The game consists of 5 levels increasing in difficulty and each level has an intended shortcut. The process wasn't easy and rather tedious for just a 5-level game, and this made me realize the effort that game developers put into their projects, tweaking them to perfection to satisfy users and players.

Overall, I have immense respect for game developers and other developers in general as undertaking this project made me realize the technical difficulty in the process, and also the creative aspect of designing games.
